Warm little piglets and funny little goats

Whilst the weather is snowy at Goats, we will be keeping the piglets in the barn so they can stay warm and toasty with their mum. However, as soon as it warms up a little, there will be a Tamworth sow and her new litter of playful piglets living there. Until then, our goats will be arriving very shortly and so, with coffee in your hand, you will be able to watch them munch away at the thistles in front of the reservoir.

With a spring in their step

We are very happy to announce the birth of lots of beautiful lambs in our barn at Fontburn. They are all warm with their mums and already leaping around and up to mischief. Twins climbed up into the hay rack yesterday, much to the consternation of their mum who pushed her head into the hayrack and asked them to come down straight away. But they were having much too much fun to pay any attention.

Exciting News

The living, sedum roof has been relaid with new moss fresh for Spring. In order to make sure it grows to be as lush as possible for the goats, it has to grow together before the goats will be able to go on the roof to play. Meanwhile, they will be roaming around behind the cafe so they will have plenty to look at, a nice view of the reservoir, and a chance to say hello to all our lovely customers.

Re-opening

With great pleasure Goats on the Roof can announce that it will be re-opening from Good Friday (29/03/2013). Thank you to everyone for all your support. We look forward to seeing you here soon.
